Big R stores in southern Colorado are accepting new, unwrapped toys (for children ages 0 to 18) as part of a partnership with The Salvation Army this Christmas; donations will be accepted until Thursday.

The Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment shared holiday food safety tips on clean, cook, separate, and chill to help residents prevent foodborne illness during the season.
The guide urged use of food thermometers and proper handling for at-risk groups (pregnant individuals, young children, and the immunocompromised).
