- ➤ Pueblo D70 board president Ann Bennett announced on Feb. 16 that Susie Carnes will fill a board vacancy after a Feb. 10 meeting ended abruptly when Director A.J. Wilson had a medical emergency and Bennett left early. Some board members oppose the move — Bennett said it meets state law. Pueblo Chieftain
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ People who filed federal and Colorado tax returns in late January have started receiving refunds; tracking is available online and via phone at 303-238-7378, where you must enter your taxpayer ID, filing status and refund amount (information is updated overnight). Pueblo Chieftain
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Federal officials reported on Feb. 12 that Ventura Foods peanut butter products across 40 states may contain blue plastic pieces. Pueblo residents are advised to check labels and follow retailer guidance if their peanut butter matches the recalled sizes. Pueblo Chieftain
